Guide & Sustainability Coordinator

Guide & Sustainability Coordinator

We hire guides who have experience with Alaska and/or the Pacific Northwest who thrive on inspiring and entertaining adults, teens and kids through preparedness, storytelling, teambuilding, and educating others about the history, flora and fauna of our area and greater Alaska.

We employ strong, confident, knowledgeable and well-spoken guides with a passion for outdoor leadership and conservation. Stillpoint guides are at the ready to lead kayak, paddleboard and hiking day trips, deckhand and track and maintain an extensive recreational equipment inventory. The ability to understand the daily influences of the weather, wind and currents is required, as well as being comfortable with boats and aircraft. The days are especially long and demanding. Our guides have the energy to stay positive, entertaining and compassionate of the needs of the guests, and actively foster and embody the ideals of sustainability.

As naturalists, our guides use their experience and observational skills to avoid disturbing wildlife, keep our guests safe, and teach mindfulness and stewardship. We practice Leave No Trace and are dedicated to responsible tourism. Floatplane, helicopter and boating experience is a plus. Wilderness First Responder certification & current First Aid/CPR required.
