To ensure the health and safety for all guests and staff at our boutique lodge, we are now requiring proof of Covid-19 vaccination for all guests and staff for our 2022 season, including everyone 18 years and older. Proof of vaccination will be required 90 days prior to arrival.
For domestic and international travelers, Stillpoint Lodge will accept proof of vaccination with Covid-19 vaccines approved by the World Health Organization. For the most up-to-date list of vaccines evaluated and approved by the WHO, please visit their website: www.who.int/covid-19-vaccines
Despite efforts by the State of Alaska at the beginning of the pandemic to implement travel mandates, coronavirus testing, and quarantine protocols, inbound tourism inevitably led to an increase in Covid-19 cases for our residents and visitors. The tourism industry has been one of the hardest hit by the coronavirus pandemic. The introduction of vaccine cards, a digital or hard copy document that verifies the receipt of a particular vaccination, will substantially facilitate safe travel and help revive Alaska tourism. Based on the projected vaccine rollout schedule, it is estimated that everyone who wants to travel to Alaska will have access to the vaccine.
Stillpoint Lodge is known for our holistic approach to providing an unforgettable Alaska dream vacation. Our love of adventure and conservation fuels our logistics and activities. Our focus on sustainability and wellness extends to the health and safety of our guests, staff, and community. The Covid-19 pandemic posed a particularly difficult situation for Stillpoint, our industry, and our tourism partners. The high level of uncertainty has made decision-making challenging, but there is now compelling evidence that Alaska tourism is on the rise, and the availability of the Covid-19 vaccine has been a major element in encouraging this growth.
We are committed to providing an adventurous, active, and rejuvenating stay with us. That commitment starts with looking at our services and processes to take steps to deliver the safest and most enjoyable experience possible. Measures are in place for added protection, plenty of space and time between guests, extra staff and equipment for sanitizing, and effective communication to follow procedures, WHO and CDC recommendations, and best practices.
Changes are happening rapidly world-wide in masking, testing, and vaccination requirements. We are finding that our clientele and partners appreciate what we are doing to help keep everyone protected and the Alaska tourism industry thriving.
With the ever-changing pandemic environment, our policies are fluid as we adjust to the latest health and safety guidance. We want to continue welcoming guests at Stillpoint Lodge and we're doing our part to make that happen!
