Remote E-Biking Adventure in Alaska
Boat 35-minutes with the E-bikes onboard, through a scenic ocean passage full of wildlife, mystic islands, intriguing rock outcroppings, and majestic mountains. Then disembark for a guided, 10-mile electric-assisted bike ride along a remote coastal road that leads to the charming village of Seldovia.
You will love our fleet of brand new Magnum Peak T7 electric bicycles that are perfect for a variety of riding surfaces. They have a torque pedal assist sensor that combines power from the rider and the motor for the ultimate in smoothness and control. A wide range drive train and robust power system make the Peak T7 an ideal choice for trail riding.
Once a bustling Russian fur trading post, the iconic destination of Seldovia features views of tranquil waters and snowcapped mountain peaks. A walk around the boardwalks yields sightings of salmon swimming upstream, Alaska Native villagers, colorful shopkeepers, woodcarvings, and a historic Russian orthodox church.
Take along a lunch custom packed by our lodge culinary team, or choose one of the cute restaurants in Seldovia for even more of a taste of the local culture. Pick some berries on an optional after-lunch hike on the aptly named "Otter Bahn Trail" through a towering old growth forest to a secluded beach.
Don't forget to visit the ice cream shop before you head to the Seldovia harbor to meet the boat. Then, enjoy the relaxing boat ride back to the lodge.
E-Biking Rating: Easy-to-moderate with 3 steep climbs and an amazingly fun, long downhill decent at the end. The roads are firm gravel with no soft mud or ruts.
Optional Hike Rating: Easy-to-moderate with exposed roots and rocks, some places can be muddy.
