Massage:
Stillpoint massage therapists provide an integral contribution to the health and wellness of our guests and community. As part of our overall guest services, massage therapists work primarily in housekeeping. Although massage is included for our guests, it typically only comprises about a third of total hours worked depending on bookings. Our beautifully constructed massage building has two clean, peaceful therapy spaces to provide personalized treatments. A tidy, professional appearance is essential.
Housekeeping:
With inherent attention to detail, our housekeepers are responsible for insuring an impeccably neat and clean environment for the Stillpoint community. The housekeeping staff works together to maintain Stillpoint’s accommodations including the lodge, restrooms, dining room, guest cabins, boats, common areas, and maintaining the laundry facility. Often, he or she is bound to a tight schedule, so timeliness and organization is critical.
Dining and/or Garden Help:
Our massage therapists often also have time to offer service backup for meals and happy hour and gardening help as needed. Meal service is more like a fine dining banquet than waiting tables, but experience with restaurant atmosphere is a plus. Current TAP Alcohol Server and ServSafe food handler certificates are required in Alaska.
Yoga teacher training or other group fitness instructor training is an added bonus and would allow you to lead classes at the lodge.
Although each staff member specializes in a specific job, at times you will be asked to assist with other lodge duties including housekeeping, gardening, grounds keeping, kitchen duties including serving and dishwashing and ongoing camp chores. This requires the ability to prioritize daily duties with flexibility and readiness to transition between jobs.
As well as an array of benefits, this person also receives:

We ask you commit to a flexible schedule in compliance with the State of Alaska's wage and hour requirements to include a 10 hour workday. We do not provide holidays, vacation, severance or sick pay, retirement benefits nor health insurance beyond workers compensation.
