WE MAY BE BIASED, but we think the Northwest is one of themost beautiful regions on earth. From coastline and mountains to lakes and glaciers, the scenic wonders are natural eye candy. Want to use some of that picture-postcard setting as a backdrop for your next meeting or event? Here are a few venues to consider.
Alaska Stillpoint Lodge
HALIBUT COVE, ALASKA
Alaska Stillpoint Lodge sits on the Kenai Peninsula, surrounded by Kachemak Bay, andit can only be reached by boat or floatplane.“During the summer there’s a restaurant, a coffeehouse and a cool little floating post office,” says General Manager Beka Thoning. “Alaska is a pretty casual place in general, but we are, in the context of the state, one of the more luxurious, high-end lodges. ”Guests stay in individual cabins (Stillpoint sleeps up to 25 guests). A large tribunal lodge is where groups have their meetings and meals. The event space can accommodate up to 60 guests. “It doubles as a really cool lounge with a bar,” says Thoning. The lodge’s floor-to-ceiling windows offer guests gorgeous views of the bay, an exquisite organic garden, lovely spruce trees and the Kenai Mountains. “You also see eagles flying by,” Thoning says.
